These terms cover donations, free and paid educational offerings, and scholarships provided by The House of Maheja through thehouseofmaheja.org and its registration channels. Only the sections relevant to your donation, booking or application apply.
The House of Maheja is the public name of House of Maheja Stiftung (the “Foundation”, “we”, “us” or “our”), a foundation established under Swiss law and registered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Zug, with its registered seat in Oberägeri, Switzerland.
Registered address: Hauptseestrasse 51, 6315 Oberägeri, Switzerland
Swiss enterprise identification number (UID): [CHE NUMBER]
Email for donations, cancellations and enquiries: [email protected]
The Foundation is separate from The Mahima Mindset GmbH. Foundation offerings are covered here; private coaching and other services supplied by the GmbH or another provider are governed by that provider’s terms. The provider is identified before booking.
Your donation is a voluntary gift supporting the Foundation’s statutory purpose: promoting education and continuing education in the development of personal, social and emotional competencies.
A donation is a voluntary gift, not a purchase, investment or loan. It gives no financial return, ownership, voting rights or automatic entitlement to services. Donor or founding-supporter recognition confers no governing-body membership.
Donors must be at least 18, legally able and authorised to make the payment, including on an organisation’s behalf where relevant. By submitting a donation after accepting these terms, you agree to the donation provisions.
Unless we expressly accept a specific purpose at checkout or in writing, donations support our work as a whole. The board allocates funds within the Foundation’s statutory purpose.
This may include educational activities, access and scholarships, digital platforms, project development and reasonable costs of staffing, administration, fundraising, communications, professional services and licensing needed to deliver the Foundation’s work. All expenditure must comply with the Foundation’s statutes and applicable law.
We honour accepted restrictions on gifts. If a restricted purpose cannot be fulfilled or surplus funds cannot be used for it, we contact the donor about an alternative use or refund. We do not remove a restriction without the donor’s agreement unless law requires otherwise.
Checkout identifies the payment provider, amount, currency and any recurring frequency before confirmation. We send payment confirmation to the contact details supplied; contact us before paying again if it does not arrive.
Processing fees may reduce the donation received. Optional contributions towards fees require your prior selection; your bank may charge separate transaction or conversion fees.
We may decline or return donations that conflict with our purpose, legal obligations or independence, subject to applicable legal restrictions.
Recurring donations continue at the amount and frequency accepted at checkout until cancelled, with no minimum commitment or cancellation fee.
Cancel by emailing [email protected] or using a donor-management link if provided. We confirm cancellation, stop future charges and refund any charge collected after receipt of the cancellation request. Earlier donations are not automatically refunded.
Amount or frequency changes require your agreement. A failed payment does not create a debt for unpaid future donations.
Completed donations are generally final, subject to legal rights. Report mistakes, duplicate or incorrect charges and unauthorised payments promptly, with the date, amount and payment reference; never email full card details.
We investigate and refund verified duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised charges. Other requests are considered individually. Refunds normally go to the original payment method; processing time depends on the payment provider and bank.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory right to revoke a gift, recover a payment, dispute an unauthorised transaction or obtain a refund under applicable law.
Tax deductibility depends on the Foundation’s recognised tax status, the donor’s circumstances and applicable jurisdiction. Foundation registration alone does not establish deductibility.
Payment confirmations and donation acknowledgements do not guarantee a tax deduction. Contact us for our current tax status and available documentation.
We offer events, lectures, dialogue and encounter formats, webinars and online portals, workshops, learning series, multi-day programmes and digital or recorded learning content. Formats may be free or paid, online or in person. The specific offer states its price, content, dates, eligibility, access period and any technical requirements.
Free offerings require no donation or scholarship application. Registration and capacity limits may apply. For paid offerings, the total price, currency, applicable taxes, payment schedule and any renewal are disclosed before booking. A participation fee is payment for a service, not a donation. A booking becomes binding when we confirm acceptance.
Please provide accurate registration information, meet published eligibility requirements and treat others respectfully. Keep other participants’ personal disclosures confidential; do not record or distribute sessions without permission. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect participants or address serious breaches, subject to applicable rights.
You may cancel by contacting us. Refunds and any cancellation charges follow the conditions disclosed and accepted before booking and applicable law; no undisclosed cancellation charge applies. Digital access, replay availability and any subscription cancellation rules are stated in the offer. Free registrations can be cancelled without a fee.
If we cancel a paid offering, we refund the affected fee. For a material change of date or content, you may accept the change or cancel the affected booking for a refund of the undelivered portion. Mandatory withdrawal, refund and other consumer rights remain unaffected.
For designated paid offerings, scholarships may waive 50% or 100% of the fee; they are not cash payments. Awards depend on financial need, programme fit, committed participation, potential to share the learning’s benefit, and available funding within the board-approved budget. Donors, clients and friends receive no preference.
Use the published application form, including its personal-video requirement. Detailed financial records are not routinely required. Applications and decisions are confidential; applying does not guarantee an award. An unconflicted reconsideration process is available.
Awards cover only the approved offering; later offerings require a new application. Recipients must meet the participation and absence-notification commitments in the Scholarship Regulations. Non-compliance can end support for the remaining programme, with genuine exceptional circumstances considered; this does not normally create retrospective repayment. No service, fundraising or later-donation obligation applies.
The full Scholarship Regulations at https://thehouseofmaheja.org/scholarshipregulation, supplied before application and acceptance, govern eligibility, assessment, participation and review.
Our Privacy Policy at https://thehouseofmaheja.org/privacypolicy explains how we handle donor, participant and scholarship-applicant information, including service providers, overseas processing, retention and your rights.
Donating, registering or applying does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. We obtain separate consent where required; you may unsubscribe at any time. Necessary service and legal communications may continue.
We will not publicly identify you as a donor, publish your donation amount or use your name or logo in promotional materials without your permission, unless disclosure is legally required.
Future activities, digital environments and physical houses are plans; concept images are illustrative. Delivery depends on funding, approvals and feasibility. General donations do not guarantee a project, date or outcome; accepted gift restrictions under section 3 remain binding.
Materials belong to the Foundation or their owners and licensors. Participants may use supplied learning materials personally for the agreed access period. Commercial reuse, distribution or recording requires permission. Donations transfer no intellectual property rights.
Our offerings support education and personal development; they do not replace medical, psychiatric, psychological or psychotherapeutic care. Participation is voluntary and personal outcomes are not guaranteed. Report access or payment problems promptly.
Our liability is governed by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Updates are dated and apply prospectively. They do not retrospectively change completed donations, gift restrictions, confirmed bookings or scholarship awards.
For existing recurring donations, we will give advance notice of material changes and an opportunity to cancel before they take effect. Changes requiring your consent will take effect only after that consent is obtained.
Swiss law applies, subject to mandatory protections for donors, participants and applicants. The competent courts at the Foundation’s seat have jurisdiction unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
For questions, cancellations, refund requests or concerns, please contact the Foundation using the email or postal address in section 1.
